Just like peas and carrots, it seems like buffalo wings and football season go hand-in-hand. I know that my husband is a huge fan of buffalo wings and I like the flavor too, but hate the idea of the mess on my fingers and the constant feeling that I might smile at someone and have chicken stuck in my teeth. While my husband might not care about the sticky fingers, I do, which is why I turned buffalo wings into Creamy Buffalo Chicken Dip.
The other problem that this solves is soggy wings or having to fry buffalo wings in your home. If you’re more of a fan of traditional wings you can also follow my instructions to make crispy baked chicken wings at home or you can just whip up a batch of this dip. The key ingredient that I like to use to add a blast of flavor is Litehouse’s Chunky Blue Cheese dressing.
I love that this recipe uses only 5 ingredients and comes together in a snap. I like to use rotisserie chicken to keep things easy and you can use a mix of dark and white meat if you’d like or all white meat chicken if that is your preference. To really turn up the sharp, blue cheese flavor, a hearty helping of Simply Artisan Blue Cheese Crumbles are tossed into the mix.
Serve up this dip with crackers, carrot or celery sticks and keep your fingers free from the sticky mess! Your husband may also realize that this is a much better way to eat buffalo wings and you’ll find yourself making this recipe throughout football season this year!
