Ready for the easiest dessert you’ll ever make? These Caramel Brownies are so quick and easy to whip up, they’ll quickly become a staple in your home. All you need is two products that you likely already have in your home—your favorite brownie mix and a carton of Litehouse’s Old Fashioned Caramel Dip.
Anyone can bring brownies to an event, but have you ever had caramel brownies? A slightly decadent treat made from fudgy brownie mix and Litehouse’s Old Fashioned Caramel dip. These caramel brownies taste just as good as homemade brownies with a fraction of the work. Make the brownie batter as directed, then add in a generous helping of warmed Old Fashioned Caramel Dip. From there, you’ll cover the caramel dip with the remainder of the brownie mix and bake as directed.
As Ina Garten says, how easy is that? It’s hard to believe that these gooey, fudgy brownies aren’t completely homemade. These brownies are fantastic as an after school treat, for Halloween, party trays, bake sales or gifting. I plan on making a batch as party favors for my son’s birthday next month.
For easy clean up, I recommend lining your pan with parchment paper and allowing for an overhang over the edges. This prevents the brownies from sticking and makes for easy removal. Simply grab the paper to lift out and cut.
If you love caramel, then you are welcome to use more than the ¾ cup listed here. I do recommend warming the Old Fashioned Caramel Dip first as it makes it easier to pour on the batter. Simply measure your dip into a glass container, then warm in 30 seconds intervals until easy to pour.
These Caramel Brownies also freeze well! Once they have cooled completely, wrap rightly in plastic wrap and then again with foil. Place in the freezer for up to 3 months. To eat, remove and let thaw at room temperature. Freezing small brownie pieces is a great trick for school lunch! Place straight from the freezer and they will thaw in a few hours, ready at lunchtime.
