The brownies are cut into chunks. You can do this neatly or just rip them apart into pieces. They are all going into parfait dishes so it won’t matter much.
I also made a homemade chocolate whipped cream. Soooo good! I use the 35% milk fat whipping cream since I find it easier to fluff up than the lower milk fat varieties. Add a little cocoa powder, powdered sugar (we call it “icing sugar” in Canada) and vanilla extract. Prepare to lick the bowl when you’re done!
Litehouse® Chocolate Flavored Dip brings the whole parfait together with its luscious richness. I drizzled all over each layer of brownies and then topped with the chocolate whipped cream.
Top with a fresh strawberry and you have the ultimate dessert that looks beautiful and tastes even better. It’s simple to make and perfect for any special occasion or whenever you need a chocolate fix.
This recipe makes four parfaits. You could stretch into five with smaller dishes. Don’t worry if you don’t have parfait dishes. A bowl or a glass will also work. Even a wine glass would work.
My family loved this recipe and have requested me to make it again. I love having a reason to make more chocolate desserts!
I also love using Litehouse® Freeze Dried Garlic because I don’t have to peel or mince garlic. It tastes fresh and amazing when cooked in recipes. Bonus – I don’t have smelly garlic fingers!
Our favourite pizza toppings are mushrooms, green peppers, onions, pepperoni, and mozzarella cheese. If you aren’t a fan of any of these ingredients, feel free to exclude and/or substitute your favourites. Cooked, crumbled bacon, ground beef, ham or other veggies would be yummy. Whatever works for you and your family!
I like to use heavy cream versus milk in this recipe because it adds an extra layer of creaminess to the egg mixture. You can substitute milk though if you don’t have any on hand.
Each slice of Pizza Quiche will have the pie crust base followed by a layer of pizza sauce (canned is fine!), then a layer of shredded mozzarella cheese. The egg and veggie mixture are next and finished off with a topping of pepperoni.
It bakes for 30 minutes in the oven and is ready to serve in 5 minutes. I recommend letting it cool for about 5 minutes because it will be hot right from the oven.
