This is what I call a back-pocket recipe; one that you know by heart, don’t have to look up and is a hit every single time you make it. A simple, fuss-free recipe that works for a cozy happy hour with friends at home, for a potluck with neighbors, for game day or anytime you’re in the mood for hot, bubbly spinach artichoke dip.
My mom made a similar version of this dip growing up and it was always a hit with anyone she shared it with. Since then, I’ve made it countless times and everyone who tastes it always wants the recipe. Who can resist hot, cheesy spinach artichoke dip?
To streamline my mom’s classic even further, I’ve swapped in Litehouse’s Spinach Parmesan Dip. A deli-style dip with just the right amount of spinach with a smooth cheese taste. Delicious on it’s own with veggies, chips or on a sandwich and even more decadent in this spinach artichoke dip. In addition to it’s delicious, creamy taste I love that it doesn’t contain any artificial colors, flavors or preservatives.
To start, you’ll need a can of artichoke hearts, drained and rinsed. Finely chop them using a knife or food processor— they’ll need to be bite size for easy scooping once baked. From there, stir in Litehouse® Spinach Parmesan Dip and a little more grated parmesan for good measure. If you like heat, then I recommend adding in a generous pinch of red pepper flakes or a small can of drained, chopped green chilis.
Bake until bubbly and golden brown, then serve with dipping vehicle of your choice! I’m partial to a woven-wheat type cracker, but crostini, chips or sturdy veggies like carrots, broccoli or celery also work. Hope this dip becomes a staple in your house as it is mine.
