As my kids get older the number of children in the house on the weekends seems to somehow multiply. Whether I’m babysitting for a friend, hosting a play date, or even a sleepover full of giggling girls, we always seem to have extra kids around. I don’t mind though, I enjoy having the home that kids want to flock to, and the home their parents feel comfortable with them spending time in. I also enjoy being able to keep a closer eye on my children. I get to see what they are doing, how they are doing, and when they are doing it.
I have vowed that I will claim my title as the “Cool Mom” not by allowing complete chaos and rule breaking, but by making those kiddos happy with food. Great plan right? I love getting my daughter, Ava, and her friends in the kitchen with a cooking or baking project. They stay busy, the rest of my house stays clean, and in the end they all get fed. I’m always looking for great kid friendly recipes that are not only easy and delicious, but are fun and creative as well. These Baked Ranch and Pretzel Chicken Bites were our latest hit!
Bite sized pieces of tender chicken is tossed right in ranch dressing. A quick roll in crushed pretzels results in perfectly crispy chicken bites like you’ve never tasted before. Litehouse Homestyle Ranch Dressing provides the marinade, the perfect blend of seasonings for flavoring the chicken, and becomes a perfect glue for the pretzel to stick to. In three ridiculously easy and quick steps the best chicken bites you’ve ever tasted are created.
The next time you have a handful of children to feed, or simply want a kid friendly dinner on the table in less than 30 minutes, try these out! They are so delicious and so much healthier than frozen or fast food options. Litehouse dressings leave out the preservatives, MSG’s, high fructose corn syrup, and the oh-so-famous, “mystery ingredients”. With Litehouse products it is easy to make great food for your kids that you can feel good about. This recipe especially will have your kids running fast to the dinner table. You better be sure to remember and set some aside for the adults. They will disappear fast!
