It seems pretty crazy to me that we are already talking about football playoff season. I thought football just started. Who am I kidding, I don’t follow football, but I do really enjoy all of the delicious foods that get served up on game day and the really big game day at the end of the season! I’m more interested in coming up with new ways to use buffalo sauce, chicken and ranch dressing which is how I decided that my next recipe using these ingredients would be sliders!
Let’s be honest, sliders are a pretty amazing invention. They are bite-sized so that you can eat more than just one or if they are served at a party you can eat a good slider and still have room to try all of the other delicious-looking snacks. They are also perfectly hand-held, which comes in handy when you have dainty hands like I do. And honestly, party snacks are more fun when they are miniature versions of everyday foods.
At Trader Joe’s recently I found what looked like miniature sandwich rolls and turned out to be so much tastier! These ‘pain au lait’ rolls were like miniature brioche rolls and I knew they would be the perfect soft and flavorful base for the sliders. If you can’t find those, you can also just use a small sausage roll. I opted to use rotisserie chicken because let’s be honest, nothing makes life easier than rotisserie chicken! And of course, don’t forget the Litehouse® Homestyle Ranch dressing because it will really bring together all of the delicious flavors!
Even if you’re like me and you have no idea what is going on in the sports world, take it from me that these easy sliders will make your entire family or group of friends happy! And be sure to leave out a little extra Homestyle Ranch dressing for your guests because they may want to drizzle on some more!
