Is it just me or does the martini have a totally cool vibe no matter what the flavor. James Bond drinks them. Women toss them in the face of their enemies before storming away in movies.
I don’t typically shake up a martini at home on a regular night but if I’m hosting guests, they certainly make for a great conversation starter. These Easy Ginger Martinis look beautiful and are perfect for crisp fall nights.
This recipe starts by making a ginger simple syrup using Litehouse’s Freeze Dried Ginger. You can use this simple syrup to make homemade ginger ale, a variety of cocktails and as a sweetener for tea or coffee. Basically, you’ll bring the sugar and water to a boil and add in the Freeze Dried Ginger and steep to a desired flavor. Once the syrup cools, you’ll strain out the ginger and store in an air-tight container for up to two weeks.
The martini itself is really simple as well. I like to garnish the glasses with a twist of lemon or if you want a bit of color you can add a couple of fresh cranberries to float in the glasses. Making these martinis makes me want to wrap up in a blanket scarf on a cool fall evening with friends on my patio and share our latest stories.
Whether you like your martini shaken or stirred, you should give this sweet and spicy martini a sip. And as a quick reminder, always drink responsibly. Cheers!
