Entertaining can be both stressful and fun. The stress can come from planning a menu, cleaning the house and actually cooking the meal so it turns out delicious. Far too many times I’ve cooked a new recipe only for it to come out wrong. On a regular night with my family I could throw a pizza in the oven for a back up meal, but when you have guests, it’s just not that easy (and it’s quite embarrassing)!
Here are a few tips when planning a no-fail menu for guests:
You can prep your meatballs in advance and keep them in the fridge until you are ready to bake them. You could even make a big batch of meatballs and freeze for the days you want a quick meal. Meatballs are easy! Simply mix the beef, panko breadcrumbs, milk and egg with Litehouse Freeze Dried Mint, Oregano and Onion. Roll the beef mixture into golf ball-sized meatballs and bake for about 40 minutes.
For a little twist on a traditional meatball, try serving with a pomegranate glaze. This winter fruit makes a nice sweet sauce that pairs well with the savory meatball and salty feta cheese. What other tips do you have for making entertaining less stressful?
